Dear Friends,

During December we reflect on what the Lord has done throughout the year of 2009, and remember Jesus is the reason for celebrating Christmas. 

We just returned from the east coast where we visited several church ministries and discussed the Awana Lifeline ministry.  Awana Lifeline is a result of the Returning Hearts Celebration that takes place in prisons around the country.  This is a time where dads can reconcile with their children and ask forgiveness for the mistakes they have made and share the Gospel with their children.

During the past few weeks, we have heard many testimonies on the impact Awana is having in churches and families.  An amazing statistic is that on average there are ten decisions for Christ in each Awana club each year.  That would account for possibly 2,500 decisions for Christ in our region alone.  This result should excite us all about the importance of children’s ministry and reaching the next generation for Christ.

Our family will spend Christmas in Johnson City, TN with Tara’s family.  We look forward to a very restful time remembering what Christ has done for us.  Thank you for all the wonderful love gifts for our family diuring this Chrismas season.  Your love and care for our family has been overwhelming.
