November 2009 Report

Dear Friends,

Recently we initiated communication with the misson office for our clearance to return to Peru.  The reply was not what we had hope for.  We learned that we need to have at least $600 more a month in financial support, not the $200 we thought.  We had made the mistake of looking at our present outgo of funds, instead of what the present outgo should be.

Now we arr working at setting up more meetings in churches.  At the present we do not have a target date, though we would love to be back by the end of January, so we can be at the pastors camp and the missionary camp.  The Bible college will have graduation at the end of November, and then summer begins.  The new school year will begin March, 8, 2010.

It isn’t easy to get meetings at the present time, with the economy being as it is.  Many pastors have answered Jim’s emails with apologies for not being able to have us come, due to their financial situations.  We know, though, that God is able!  And He will bring us back to Peru in His perfect timing.

An item of praise is that Alethia just saw the surgeon last week, and he said all is fine, she does not need to go back to see him.  Since the surgery, she no longer has the pain and other problems that she had before.  Everyone else in the family is fine.

Occasionally someone will send personal correspondence for us to the mission address.  Please, from now on, be sure to send all personal letters and greeting cards to us at our Riverside, CA address.

Please pray with us as we continue to make contacts for meetings, the need of increased support, for the Lord to use us for His glory during this furlough and for our children as they seek God’s will for their futures.
