Ken and Debbie’s ministry is to assist local U.S. churches with their building needs including new construction, additions or renovations. While at the local church they also teach Sunday school, hold children church services and ladies bible study groups.

July/August 2010

We strated our first "journey" of the spring/summer with a trip to FL from May 21 to June 1.  We had a memorable time visiting with a family and attending the high school graduation of two of our great-nephews.  We also had the privilege of presenting Cedine Ministries for the first time at Fellowship Baptist in Deltona, FL and were able to visit a supporting church, West Pines Baptist.

Our second "journey" as reported in our last letter was joining Friendship Baptist Church on a mission trip to Ariton, AL from June 26 to July 2.  Ken and some of our youth were able to assist the camp where we stayed by building an equipment closet and a roof over the grills.  Debbie had the unique privilege of teaching a ladies Bible class through a Hispanic interpreter and was told that she had an "accent" that the interpreter had never heard before.  The VBS was a blessing to all and one young lady accepted Christ as savior.

Our last "journey" was from July 8 to July 23 and covered NJ and PA.  We gave an update at Cedarville Baptist and Faith Baptist and presented our ministry for the first time at Calvary Baptist in Harrisburg, PA.

In the midst of our "journeys" Cedine hosted seven camps and two family retreats.  We had 948 camper weeks (which represents a camper here for one week), who came from at least 18 different states.  There were many decisions for salvation and commitments for assurance, dedication and a personal quiet time.  The Lord provided an average of 55 counselors and summer staff each week.  One even came all the way form Kenya to serve "for His name’s sake."

We were able to use all 4 duplex cabins in the guys’ village this year but one of the older cabins was still needed to house some of the leaders in training.

In between our "journeys" we have continued to be busy working in the guys’ village, in general maintenance and in the maiing room.

Our welcome mat is out, come visit.
