Don and Betty Teachout - JUST retired from Central African Republic. Baptist Mid-Missions

Now home in the US on May 9. Were able to spend their last 3 months in the CAR working with their son and daughter-in-law. Participated in seminars on Marriage and Family. Over 35 pastors and wives attended, some of whom walked over 50 miles to attend. Also, ministered to a village of pygmies with over 50 receiving Christ as Savior. PTL!!! Glad to be home in the States, but do miss the work and people of the CAR. Ask prayer for continued work of Jonathan and Cherith and wisdom for them as they continue with the mission.

Greetings,
It’s been so long since I have been able to sit at a computer to write a letter. I’m still struggling somewhat with my meds, but since the doctor prescribed for me a med to calm my periods of drug induced agitation which adversely affected my eating to the point that I was losing weight, which I could not afford, I have been doing better.

We are so thankful for friends who stand by us through it all. Thanks so much for your love. God has seen fit to call Betty’s sister, Ellie, home to be with Him. She spent 9 months in hospital from time to time in intensive care.

I have been able to focus some on the Sango Bible Project for the computer, finishing Jeremiah, which had been almost done for so long and sending it on to Bibles International today.
