Dear Friends,

Leonardo da Vinci painted the fresco "The Last Supper" in a church in Milan.  Rumor has it one of the reasons the painting took four years to complete was that when da Vinci was almost finished, a friend commented on how incredibly moving the painting was-especially the silver cup on the table.  "It was brilliant, beautiful!" he said.  "My eyes were immediately drawn to it," da Vinci got so angry that he immediately painted over the cup, blotting it out.  The focus was to be Jesus, not the cup.

This past month I’ve had the privileged opportunity to initiate a new ministry at PB Correctional focused on Jesus and  reaching incarcerated teens with His forgiveness, change and hope.  This 118 bed, level 8 facility serves 13-18 year- old males who spend an average of 9-12 months locked up.

Our programming consists of a Sunday church service followed by Monday and Tuesday evening discipleship groups.  Last Sunday’s church service was standing room only.  God is moving!

Just as da Vinci wanted his work to draw people to Jesus, it is my desire that this new Juvenile Justice ministry do the same.  Your prayers and monthly gifts are being used by God to bring hope and life-change to incarcerated teens in PB Correctional.
