The Fern Kruse ministry is teaching Bible courses to college students at the University Campus in Ayrshire. Reaching young adults with God’s Word is continuing to bring Him glory by increasing the number of believers on campus.
In Florida, I am kept really busy with great opportunities to serve the Lord through the church’s Prime Timer’s ministries. On the committee, I am teaching ladies Bible study and calling with about 20 prime timers through the “encouragement ministry”. I help in the “new mom’s” ministries called “Morning Break” and the professional women’s outreach dinners. These are all evangelistic, encouragement, and teaching ministries for various groups. It is a joy to see God use and bless these various ways of reaching different folks for Christ.

November 2011

Dear Friends in Christ

The summer is ending and I trust you are recalling and rejoicing in the various "harvests" of the year, in your parts of the country, world, and spiritually in your lives.

God has given me good months since last I’ve written.  I want to share some of those good things.

Good health, even though the aging process does show its effects from time to time.  I will join the circle of friends whose eyesight is improved greatly by cataract surgery end of Nov., early Dec.

Good season of service, as I continue to have wonderful opportunites of ministries each week.  I so appreciate the Bible classes to teach and the joy of visiting those who often cannot get out to the services of the church.  These folks like wee snacks and I enjoy the preparing process as well.  No matter the age group, we seem to be made to enjoy food and the little gift "surprises" that bring a smile and a thank you.

Great answers to prayer, in the selling and closing of my condo.  Thank you for praying!  After 26 showings, the "right ones" came along.  It proved to be a great time of depending on God alone for all the minute details that were involved in the process!  I learned a lot, and know that I really don’t want to ever go through that process again.  There are still two legal processes ongoing, that hopefully will bring back some of those huge expenses you’ve read about in my letters over the years.  Keep praying

I continue on in Tampa for about 2 more months before my new home in a missionary retirement village is ready for me.  I am teaching my ladies class, presenting the missionary of the week in Jr. church and doing other work regarding our missions program to 42 missionaries and ministry organizations.  I find it a great joy to do all of the above plus other things that I delight in doing for the Lord.

Great anticipations.  I look forward to finding new opportunites of service in the days ahead.  I’m not ready for the rocking chair yet, though I know I’ll enjoy a rest, and waiting  on God to explore new horizons for our Savior.  Part of my desire is to try to make contacts with the many God gave us in ministry.  My mind whirls over many other possibilities that I trust God will still allow me to pursue as He provides all that is needed to carry out my deisres, time, energy, funds and a sound mind.

Prayer needs:  For my family, my borhter -in-law is in a nursing facility after a second stroke.  My sister has some health needs too, and especially for encouragement in seeing her dear husband in failing health.  For my friends who are so much of an encouragement and part of my life.  For my transitions in life ahead.  Proverbs 3:5-6 are great challenges.

Thank you so much for your continued suppot of me in prayer, communication, and finances.  I am very grateful for each of these areas.  Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

Gratefully yours in Christ Jesus
