Come Olders Middles Everyone

Our pastor used this acronym recently and it instantly sparked the thought for this newsletter.  Over the last 65 years, the Lord has used Cedine as a haven where He has entreated many souls, regardless of age, to "come unto me."  Untold numbers have responded for salvation, dedication, rest, freedom, peace, assurance…the list is as unending as the needs but the Lord’s plea is always the same, "COME."  If you have never come unto Him for salvation, we plead with you to do so today, before it is too late!

We have had many come to Cedine already this year.  We have had a volunteer staff retreat, a leadership conference and our first ladies’ and men’s retreats and retreats for teens, singles and couples.  Then two weeks of special training just before camp starts for the summer.  Wow, it’s exhausting just writing this list!  Perhaps you would come to help us with these activities.  We are still in need of counselors, a food service director and workers, office personnel and a conference director.  

Or maybe you would be willing to come and paint, move rock, replace a roof, rake leaves, do some landscaping, carpentry, mechanics, welding, animal care or stuff over 37,000 envelopes.  That’s just a short list of some of the things that the work groups we have had so far this year have helped with.  Cedine could not function well without all the volunteers that come to help.  Thanks you.

Of course, all this help keeps us busy as well.  Ken has been working with the groups on the basements of the guy’s cabins, with roofing and overseeing several of the assigned projects.  And, if you read our newsletters, you know what Debbie will be doing with those 37,403 envelopes!  We are also preparing for our summer deputation trips and will be in IL and IN the first three weeks of June.  Right now,our hope is to arrange a trip to MI in August but July has not been planned yet.  So, if you wold like for us to come and visit with you and/or your church this summer please let us know as soon as possible.  

We are so grateful for all of you that have decided to come along side of us in this ministry through your friendship, prayers and financial support.  And please come visit us as our Welcome Mat is just waiting for you to rest your feet on.
