Dear Ones,

Over and over in scripture the Lord refers to children and often calls those who are born again His little children.  During this fall retreat season we have seen several humble themselves and come to Him as little children, repenting of their sins and accepting Christ as their personal Savior.  How we praise the Lord for these and for those who have made dedication decisions while attending our retreats.

We have been very blessed to have children in our home quite often the last couple of months.  The weekend of 9/9/11 former Cedine staff members, Andrew and Faith Kliever, who we have unoffically adopetd came to visit and attend a wedding.  We were so pleased to have them stay with us so that we could have "Poppy and Marmee" time with Rebecca Ann, who turned one that next week.  Our family contines to grow with Cathrine Joy due to arrive the end of Jan.  One of the children, actually a young man of 17, that is in our home almost daily, is Moses Minter, whom we have written about before.  However, we recently had the pleasure of helping to care for his three younger siblings.  His father, Steve, was hospitalized from Sept. 29-Oct. 10 after having emergency surgery and his wife, Linda, needed to stay with him.  So Joshua, 13, and Chaniel 10, stayed with us full time while Isaiah 15, and Moses came over for some of their meals and to hang out with us.  Please keep the Minter family in prayer as Steve battles this cancer.  Although we continue to care for the children off and on we now know a little bit of what the empty nest syndrome feels like.  How thankful we are for a home that provides plenty of extra sleeping space.

Immanuel Church of Holland MI invited us to attend a missions conference on Oct. 30 entitled ROc-K, Reaching Our Communities through Kids.  It seems the Lord has chosen this time to impress upon our hearts His love for children.  it was a real joy to reacquaint ourselves with so many who have visited Cedine as part of a work team.  The church has been sending workers for over 35 years.

On our way to MI we were able to stop over in OH to visit with our friends who hope to be leaving forTogo in Jan.

We are very thankful for each one of you who support us in this minsitry.

"Our welcome mat is out, come visit.
