Dear Praying Friends,

Breaking very sad news – Many of you have been praying for our dear Finnish friends.  Dr. Pasi and his wife Dr. Marjatta, retired medical doctors from Finland who for many years had spent 6 months a year in Finland and six months in Brazil.  We have them as dear friends and witnessed to them many times of the love of Christ and the need of their souls to receive Him as Savior.  We were shocked recently to discover that they were brutally shot and killed in their home which is just down the road from my house.  They were nice people and had no enemies.  Our hearts are broken and we do not think that they ever trusted the Lord.  Of course, we hope that in those last horrifying moments of life they called out to Him.

My family is now quite concerned about my safety.  After hearing about this tragedy, my daughter in the States said, "I want my mom on the first plane back to the U.S."  This, of course, is not my plan.  I’m still not finished in Brazil and I want so much to be with our people in Jacuma.  I feel very safe and am just trusting the Lord to care for me as He has since He took Ray Home to Glory 8 years ago.

However, I am spending some time with my son Jon and family in Joao Pessoa while Jeff puts an electric fence around my house in Jacuma.

Please pray for my safety.  I know you will trust Him as I do.

Nothing has been settled on the new camp property.  These people just keep changing their minds and their prices.  Jeff and Jon are still negotiating on the most recent possibility.  We know the Lord has a perfect plan in all this and He will reveal it to us in His own time.

Nalva is being very faithful in her church attendance and she’s bringing visitors, including her husband, Sydney.  Pray especially for his salvation.

Mara is doing well after all her cancer treatments and she is really growing in the Lord.  Praise Him and thanks for praying.

Even the apostle Paul asked prayer for ladies who don’t know how to hold their tongues and get along with people.  May I ask you to pray for Celene.

What a victory when Rodrigo and Elaine just got legally married.

Several years ago she was saved and left Rodrigo because she knew it was wrong to live with him out of wedlock.  A few years later he was saved and started growing in the Lord.  Now they are back together as a married couple.  Praise the Lord

Pray for the salvation of Lydda, Germano and many other visitors to our church.

The Malta congregation has called a new pastor.  Pray that, according to God’s will, he will accept the invitation.
